Michelin Ranked Eighth in World’s Most Reputable Companies Listing
Michelin has been ranked eighth by Forbes magazine among the world’s most reputable companies in 2019.
In Forbes’ annual listing, the “World’s Most Reputable Companies” are ranked based on an independent survey, which was completed during January and February 2019, of more than 230,000 individuals in 15 countries.
Companies considered for the listing typically have revenue in excess of US$50 billion, a presence in all surveyed countries and brand familiarity with at least 40 percent of the general population.
“We understand that when people place their trust in our brand, they not only value the excellence of our products and services, they also believe in Michelin’s commitment to our communities and to the global society at large,” Adeline Challon-Kemoun, executive vice president of brands, sustainable development, communication and public affairs at Michelin said.
“Throughout our company, our employees believe that mobility is essential for human development, and we innovate passionately to make it safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.”
As a sustainable mobility company, Michelin has constantly innovated to improve the mobility of people and goods since 1889. It states it is dedicated to providing a better way forward for its employees, customers and communities by offering high-quality products, agile production capabilities and a global footprint with broad market access.
Each year at Movin’On, a global sustainability summit that provides a forum advancing ideas, solutions and actions, Michelin convenes thought leaders in sustainable mobility. In 2018, 4,000 leaders from academia, business, municipalities and startups attended Movin’On collaboration sessions in Montreal.
