Michelin Achievements and Awards over the past few months
Michelin has had some great achievements this past few months. Let’s take a look at some of them :
MICHELIN, TYRE MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR - 2020
In February, at the Tyre Technology Expo 2020 in Hanover, Michelin was awarded the prestigious title of Tyre Manufacturer of the Year for the second year in a row. This was the first time this has happened since the award was created.
In particular, this award recognised the steps Michelin has taken to improve the life of its products, and the way in which Michelin has championed the need to test tyres, not just when they are new, but also after covering thousands of kilometres.
MICHELIN UPTIS WINS THE 2020 INNOVATION AWARD
Michelin was also awarded the Tyre Technology 2020 Innovation Award for its ‘airless’ passenger tyre. This new tyre, Uptis, showcases the expertise of Michelin with new high-tech materials and is the first step in its key Vision concept of “airless”.
SYMBIO : A FAURECIA MICHELIN HYDROGEN COMPANY
Michelin and Faurecia had announced last march they were to form a joint venture that would combine all of the activities of Michelin’s subsidiary Symbio, and those of Faurecia related to fuel cells.
