Continental’s ContiSportContact 5 SUV has been rated best-in-test by AutoBild allrad’s recent tyre test.
The car magazine pitted eight tyres in size 265/60 R18 from European, American and Asian manufacturers, fitted to a Mercedes-Benz G model.
The tyres were put their paces in 15 categories on wet and dry roads as well as on grass, fine and coarse gravel, sand and mud.
“A premium tyre with exemplary handling qualities on all surfaces, high steering precision and short
wet and dry braking distances,” stated the test report summary from AutoBild allrad that brought the Continental tyre an “exemplary” rating and earning it top spot.
According to Continental, its ContiSportContact 5 SUV stood out in the tests above all due to its balanced performance.
It led for braking on dry roads and came first in the tests on gravel and the wet circular track. It also returned very good handling performances on wet and dry roads, while a short braking distance in the wet and low rolling resistance completed the picture.
The ContiSportContact 5 SUV is suitable for many SUVs and sporty cars, delivering high grip and safe cornering, short braking distances on wet and dry roads and low rolling resistances.
