Continental Tyres has announced the introduction of its ultimate high performance tyre, the ContiForceContact into Australia.
Developed specifically for enthusiasts who attend track days using their high performance road cars, the ContiForceContact is fully road-legal and differs from many of its competitors in being suitable for wet conditions.
“Traditionally the choices drivers faced when wanting tyres for track days were limited to “hard core” “R spec” road /race tyres which were not always suitable for day to day road use, meaning a tyre swap before they hit the track,” Jeff Moorhead, Product and Pricing Manager, Continental Tyre of Australia said.
“The ContiForceContact differs in that it has been developed to be used legally and safely on the road, even in wet conditions, as well as performing on the track, without compromising either.
“The secret is its combination of a soft tread compound, shallow tread depth and a reinforced tyre casing construction, to ensure that the tyre delivers the ultimate combination of grip, performance and stability at high speed.”
Evolved through an extensive development programme, the ContiForceContact features both an asymmetric tread pattern and enhanced construction for premium performance capability.
The shallow tread depth of 5mm ensures tread block stability for performance, but sufficient tread to effectively evacuate water, making it suitable for wet conditions on road and track.
